Camera club

This evening I went to my weekly camera club meeting.  They had a very interesting presentation by Len Grant (click on archives to see some of his images) about the regeneration of Manchester over the past 15-20 years.  I haven’t been a member long but this was the best presentation I have seen so far.  Much better than the  usual holiday snaps.  I haven’t had a chance to explore his site but I will as soon as I’m done with this post.  He had some truely magnificent images- especially liked some of the portraits of the builders/workmen. I hope this is a sign of things to come at the club!

Also here are the two images I submitted for the competition next week.  There were two categories general and colour.  This first image is my submission for the general competition.

The second image is my submission for the colour competition.

The black frame is for the competition, so that it can fit into the frame size of the projector.  I’m looking forward to next week and hope I do well.  It is soo difficult to choose photos for competion. I do like these and will be a dissapointed if they slate them!
