I can’t stop making these hats!! If anyone is interested in purchasing any please let me know, £8 +postage. These hats make fantastic props for newborn photography. These are all about 32cm/13inches (average newborn head circumference is 13in) but can custom make them for you upon request. I love making these little hats and am looking forward to trying them on my next little newborn who is due to make her/his appearance any day now. Come on out baby King iii !!

at the drop of a whim*

It was a beautifully sunny day the other day. I pulled out my camera and had a mini photo shoot. Wal was very patient with me as I tried to get some nice photos of him. I have a photo project I need family photos of. This one is a contender. I need a 50×50 cm print of this so I’m not sure if it will work. We’re planning a trip to northern Spain and Portugal so I might wait until that trip. I remember the last time we went to northern Portugal the light and sky was just amazing. I’m itching to get out there and photograph myself into a coma.

Abney Hall

On Sunday we decided to head on over to Abney Hall for a bit of a walk. It was a beautifully sunny yet chilly day.

Esme absolutely loved running around and playing. It was just muddy enough to be squishy, in other words it was perfectly muddy!!

I just love this last photo- it shows her perfectly determined face. She wanted to climb the fence and wanted up to help. We’re all about supporting her without doing it for her so we cheered her on and giving her pointers. She wasn’t thrilled but she did it!!I hope everyone had a happy Christmas. We had a simple and quiet day and I missed my loud boisterous family most on Christmas day.
